At the age of 21, Andrew Carter’s dream of opening his own coffee shop started to quickly become a reality. He recognized that Greer had so much potential for growth and wanted to personally contribute to it. Finally, after a year of anticipation, Barista Alley opened its doors on March 31, 2017. The idea was to start with coffee, smoothies, and pastries, and then grow from there. Not even a year later, a crêpe bar was added along with a stage for music and entertainment. Andrew said he doesn’t plan to stop growing and that there are plenty of surprises just around the corner. Barista Alley is so much more than just a coffee shop and crêperie; it is a place that brings the community together. Whether it be to study, work, socialize, have a date night, or just relax, Barista Alley offers an experience that you will want to revisit over and over.
